Today was a travel day. Mike and I flew to Fort Lauderdale. We'll stay on Singer Island until January 8, but between now and then we have lots of fun stuff planned.
But first, let's talk about our travel day. Jon was flying out this morning too for Puerto Rico, so we booked a flight that left a minute after his. This saved us from making two trips to the airport. He was flying Jet Blue, we were on Delta. Late Wednesday evening we begin to talk about our flights some more. Turns out Jon has a four hour layover in Fort Lauderdale! He thought his layover was in Miami. So, we couldn't leave him there to wait by himself. So, Mike and I stored our luggage, walked to Jons terminal where we called a Lyft to take us to the Pelican Landing for lunch.
The fish tacos were a specialty.
The view of the inter coastal was gorgeous! It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed spending extra time with Jon.
After lunch we took another Lyft back to drop Jon off for his next flight, we picked up our luggage, and waited for Gene and Joan to pick us up.
It's so nice to be back on Singer Island. We spent time on the balcony before going out for Mexican dinner at La Fogata. The sunset was really nice today!
Tomorrow is beach time and then we're going to the Orange Bowl football game!
