January 30- February 3, 2017- Singer Island, Florida
There were only 2 sunny days in all of January. It was so dreary in Michigan I was feeling kind of depressed. Mike was going to Germany, so I managed to finagle a trip to Florida for me while he was gone. Walked 3 miles every morning and then went to the beach. Ate my lunch at the beach every afternoon (sandwich and chips, fruit or carrots). In the evenings I had dinner with Gene and Joan. I had a blast on this mini vacation by myself. (By myself I mean without Mike)
January 27-29, 2017- Muncie Karr Skitacular
Skiing at Boyne Mountain is always so much fun and we look forward to it every year! This year when we first arrived, we went shopping for some new ski boots for me. A very nice young man by the name of Trevor found just the right boots for my "muscular" calves.
Since it was early afternoon, we went out to ski some before going out to dinner. For dinner we went to Cafe Sante. We had been there before so we were happy to go back.
January 22, 2017- Red Wings Hockey Game
So, this is going to be a sentimental post. We think this is the last time we're going to see the Wings play at Joe Louis Arena. So we took some pictures to mark the day. The Wings played the New York Rangers and lost 1-0 in overtime.
January 13,2017- NAIAS Charity Preview
For those living in the Detroit area it's also known as The Auto Prom, but we look forwRd to it every year. This year we're spending the night at the Marriott in the Renaissance Center. We have a great view from our room.
It's a big night for Adient, and there's lot of publicity for the new company all over town!
The picture isn't that good with the back light, but here we are, ready to go.
Once at Cobo, the fun began. Enjoy the pictures!
After the show on the floor, we went back upstairs to the Adient booth for dinner, drinks and dancing. At around 11:00 we went to MGM to play black jack with Brian Grady. We also ended up hanging out with Jennifer and Bret Johnson until 2:45 a.m.!
We had an absolute blast, as always.
