A Walking Tour of Ann Arbor

It was just too nice not to be outside. So Mike and I went to Ann Arbor to walk around and have lunch.

After parking the car in the Church St. structure, we made our way to the law quad. It was beautiful with trees budding.

What do you know?  We made it out of the law quad and right there in front of us was the Beta house. Just had to get a picture of it.

When we arrived at Schembechler Hall we discovered the museum was not open today and we weren't going to be able to tour it. Bummer!

So, next stop, time for lunch. Mike finally took me to Blimpy Burger. But before we got there, we made a quick stop at Revelli Hall. We have a lot of fun memories attached to this place, that's for sure!

By the time we got to Blimpy we were ready for lunch!

When it was all said and done, and we were back to the parking structure, we had walked 4 miles!  And it was a blast!

Last Day, So Sad

Mike and I went on a nice walk this morning to the inlet.

After breakfast on the balcony it was back to the beach for on last day of soaking up some sunshine. Mike went back out snorkeling, too.

We're ending our trip like we started it with dinner at Cool'a Fishbar. But first we're going to stop by the outdoor bar at the River House for a drink before dinner. It's going to be a fun last night of vacation.

Never Ending Sunshine

You guessed it, another day at the beach.  The breeze makes it possible to stay in the sun. The beach umbrellas give you a break when you think you can't stand the heat anymore. It actually feels cool under the umbrella and you sometimes feel cold and need to cover up. It's amazing how much cooler it is under there. It's so comfortable that some people simply curl up and go to sleep.

We're going to the River House for dinner tonight. It's my favorite place. I always get the filet mignon.

Best drinks, best salad bar, best steak, best dessert!  Enough said!

Another Sunny Day!

Not much to report about today's activities. I went to the beach and Mike went golfing.

Joan is making ham loaf for dinner.  Gene is at a Board meeting and Kathy, Joan, Mike, and I are going to the Sailfish craft show while dinner is cooking.

We called for the trolley to pick us up and while we waited we had fun with pictures.

We had more fun with pictures once we got to the Sailfish.

On the way home, we hitched a ride on a golf cart shuttle. It was a blast!

And now the best part, dinner!  Joan called Gene from the Sailfish to have him finish the ham loaf by cooking the glaze and adding it to the loaf. Here is the finished ham loaf and baked potatoes.

Feeling Spoiled

Yes, this is the view all day from our beach chairs. It was another fabulous day in the sun! Spent the day at the beach and am starting to get used to the relaxing pace and warm weather. It's been 85 degrees everyday.  Such a shame that well soon return to Michigan weather.

Dinner tonight is at a place we've not been to before. It's called Entre Nous.

From the outside it doesn't look like much. But it is very nice inside and the food was excellent. Mike had beef
bourguignon and I had chicken Parmesan.  We both really enjoyed our meal.

Golfing and Shopping

No beach time today. The boys went golfing so the girls went shopping.  The plan was to shop in the morning and get home for a couple hours on the beach before dinner.

We started at the Palm Beach Outlets. Didn't find much so it was off to Steinmart. On the way we hit Duffy's for lunch before shopping at Steinmart.  I bought some new tops, leggings, a skirt, and an adorable pair of shoes. I can't wait to wear them.

We have a 7:00 dinner reservation at Ke'e Grill. It's going to be a great dinner. I'm looking forward to it.

Kathy set up her phone camera on a timer so we could take a family picture before dinner.

Dinner was fabulous.  I had Chilean Sea Bass. (Below)

Mike had snapper. (Below)

And the Sun Shines On

We can't become to Singer Island and not eat breakfast at the Sailfish Marina. We walk there, have a big breakfast then waddle home wishing we hadn't eaten so much.

We enjoy the surrounding view of the boats water and critters as much as the food.

And speaking of food, here's Mike's favorite dish- eggs Benedict.  He orders it every time.

And then, of course, we had to say hello to the Captain.

Beach time was fun. The ocean was rough today. Not a snorkeling kind of day.
I settled instead for a nap in the sun.

This evening I went with Kathy and Joan to get a mani and pedi. We went to the Venetian Spa which is where we go every year.

After our nails were done we met the boys at Camilli's pizza. Finally I got my pizza. 🍕 It was so good.

It was a great day!

Happy Easter!

Nice start to the day again with some exercise followed by breakfast on the balcony. Never tire of the view and warm sunshine.  We had fun watching the kids at the Marriott resort next door go on their Easter Egg hunt.

Next up, no surprises here, beach time!

Mike and I went snorkeling together out in front of the condo. It was really cool. I was surprised by how many colorful fish were right there.

We're pretty excited for Easter dinner. Ever since Chris was here with Stephanie and he sent us pictures of the fried chicken Grandma was making for them, we've been hungering for it. So, that was our request for today's dinner.  It's going to be delicious!  Pictures to follow later.

Dinner smells amazing and it's quite relaxing to have cocktails on the balcony. We're having fun listening to all the activity next door. Everyone is having a great time and enjoying the weather.

Almost dinner time. I hear the potatoes being mashed. Can't wait to share the pictures.

As promised:

Yum!  Enough said!
