Saturday, October 22, 2016- Positano Day 2- Ferry to Capri

We woke up early enough today to make it down to breakfast. We found a lovely table outside with a gorgeous view.  The sun is coming out and it's going to be a glorious day!
Our plan for today is to take a ferry over to the island of Capri. After breakfast we take the stairs down to the beach where we will catch the ferry.

The ferry was really full. We weren't sure we'd even get on. Once on, there weren't any seats open. I did find one seat inside and Mike went outside at the front of the boat and did manage to get a spot to sit by the anchor. The ferry ride was 50 minutes in length.

Positano looked amazing from the water.

Once on Capri, we took a taxi up to Anacapri where we would ride a chairlift up to the top of Monte Solaro. We had fun in a convertible taxi.

The chairlift was a 13 minute ride. It was quite peaceful and you got to see the residential parts of the island. Mike had fun taking my pictures.

The views at the top were spectacular!!

Back down in Anacapri, we walked through the Villa San Michele. We found more spots to take in the gorgeous views.

This shows the Bay of Naples with Mt Vesuvius behind me.

Back in the main town of Capri, it was time to find a lunch spot. We found a nice pizzeria, but got lost doing so and found ourselves walking these narrow back walkways that were not the main tourist walkways. We were really walking by individual residences. I must admit, I was a bit spooked by this a few times. It felt like we were never going to find our way out. It was like we were lost in a maze of open air tunnels.

Sure enough, we were really close to the main street. This sign points the way to where we ate- La Cisterna.

One last convertible taxi ride took us back to the ferry dock.

(Not our boat,  but still a lovely picture)

Back in our hotel it was time to enjoy our balcony and the view it offered us.

Dinner was again at a nice place just up the street from our hotel. We enjoyed the outdoor table, Grey Goose vodka, and the tiramisu. (Our meal was yummy,  but we have no pictures.)
